Your boyfriend ran to town, with a brand new jacket on. And you don't know where he said
he went off to. You wait, only to find yourself trying to find him, but you had no hope of
finding him. You check your cellphone, seeing his picture as your wallpaper. You
walked back to home, curling into a ball on the couch, staring at the gadget infront of you.
A flashback came into mind,
"You should know that I really do love you." He said.
You frowned. I want to believe you, but it's hard to.. You thought.
Will I find relief if I choose not to believe? You wanted to see him so badly.
But you felt as if HE didn't. He didn't even call. You were afraid he would forget you.
You stood up and put your cellphone back into your pocket. You ran outside, not
caring where. You just wanted to see him, no, you PRAYED that you would see him.
A voice called, stopping, you looked behind. It was a young man. He walked up to you,
handing you your cellphone. But you just stared at him. He had alluring emerald eyes,
messy, unkempt blonde hair and light skin. The only thing that seemed to bother you
was his multiple layered eyebrows that seemed like catterpillars to you. You forgot to
listen, what you last heard was 'Have coffee.' He had a nice thick british accent to make
your heart melt. You shrugged off the feelings, you still loved your boyfriend. You nodded.
He smiled, a heartwarming one, one to blow up your heart and send your face burning. He
gave you your phone, you felt his hand. It was so soft. Then he leads you, "Come on, dear."
You follow him into a cafe. You sat down and he stood beside you. "What would you like?"
He asked politely. "[Insert preffered drink here]" You replied, smiling that he's giving
it to you for free. He went to the counter and ordered, you just stared at the fragile
see-through walls of the cafe, scanning the place for your lover. He was nowhere to be
found, which made you frown. You felt someone tap your shoulder. It was the young man.
He seemed to be worried for you. The drinks were set on your table, you didn't even notice
it or him. "Is something bothering you?" He asked with a concerned face. You shook your
head and forced a smile, "Not really."
"By the way, I'm sorry for being rude. I forgot to introduce myself." He chuckled, he was
so cute when he did. "I am Arthur Kirkland. Pleasure to meet you." He extended his arm
towards you, careful not to spill the drinks. You also fancied gentlemen. Too bad your
boyfriend wasn't. You held his hand and shook it lightly. "[insert First name].
[insert Whole name]." You smiled. "That's a lovely name." Arthur smiled. "Of course, for
a lovely lady." He added, chuckling. You only blushed, looking down at your drink, feeling
a small smile tug at the ends of your lips.
The two of you enjoyed each other's company, talking about whatever there was to talk to,
as long as the two of you were laughing and smiling. The clock had struck five o'clock.
You stood up and bowed, "I had a great time, Iggy." You smiled, Iggy had been a new nickname
for him, given by you of course. "I have to go now." You waved your hand. He smiled back
and nodded, "No problem, dear. Just call me when you want to talk, I'll answer right away."
He waved back. The two of you had exchanged numbers while talking, you ran outside the
cafe, smile never fading as you ran towards home. You stopped, you had bumped into your
boyfriend. "Hey!" Your smile faded. "When did you get here?" You asked, eyes darting to
somewhere else. "Just now.." He frowned, rubbing the back of his neck. "I'm sorry that I'm
late. I'm sorry that I made you have to wait." He added. He knew you wouldn't forgive him
easily. Because you know how this thing goes. Your frown got wider. You knew he would be
late again. The rain started pouring down. You noticed your umbrella was in his hand as
he opened it, covering the two of you. You didn't care. All you knew was that you couldn't
take it anymore. He really doesn't want to see you. "I.." You paused. "If you no longer
have feelings for me.." You felt tears flood in your eyes as you started again, "Just tell
"Because I can't speak my mind?"
"Or because I'm restless?"
"Or because I have a bad mouth sometimes?"
"Or because I get jealous?"
"Because I act childish?"
"Or because I'm short?"
"Or, because I'm not pretty? My attitude?"
"Or because I don't have a nice body?"
"Oh I know... "
"My lack of self control? Please, whatever it is.. I'll change, I promise. I want to see
you, don't you want to see me?" You didn't notice, your face was all wet, not because of
the pouring rain, but because of all your tears that have fallen down your fragile cheeks.
You continued to talk as you left your boyfriend speechless, "You know that I've been
waiting all this time just for your call? I'm afraid that you would forget about me...
Thats why I cannot bring myself to call you.."
"Listen, [name]." Your boyfriend said, glazing at you with cold eyes as you trembled at
his frightening voice. "I can't handle you anymore..I love someone else, so what if
all you said was right? I'm sorry, it just wasn't meant to be." He sighed, handing you
the umbrella. Your tears started pouring heavier as he walked away, you dropped your
umbrella as you crouched down, burying your face in your arms. "Why!?" You shouted,
regretting that you ever fell for him. Your body had been wet, got kissed by the heavy rain,
you looked up, ex nowhere to be found. A hand tapped your shoulder.
You looked around, surprised. At least HE is here for me..
